Community Development is a dynamic industry that plays a key role in many government departments, such as health, housing, ageing, multicultural and disability fields.
Community Development courses provide students with extensive knowledge and a deep understanding of issues affecting communities and their individual members. Social issues such as inequality, health and welfare, unemployment, and gender and racial discrimination are studied in depth. This enables graduates to contribute directly to local communities by working in government departments, community services organisations and welfare groups, and not-for-profit organisations.
