    If you are looking to start a successful career in the growing area of personal health and fitness, this holistic Complete Personal Training and Nutrition Course from the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers could be perfect for you. This course is designed to give you optimum flexibility to build a versatile career in the fitness industry by combining three of the most essential industry qualifications.

    The Complete Personal Training Course qualification consists of the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness and the SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness, and will give you all the necessary skills to help people of all ages reach their fitness goals. You will learn to provide physical assessments for clients, create and instruct long-term exercise programs, incorporate exercise science principles into fitness programming as well as develop and instruct strength and conditioning techniques ideal for sports groups and athletes.

    The 10967 NAT Diploma of Nutrition qualification combines online theoretical study with the required 30 sessions of practical work placement and will allow you to develop the knowledge required to become a qualified nutrition advisor. You will learn to create effective nutrition plans, promote the importance of healthy eating, educate clients and the broader community on effective nutrition in accordance with the Australian Dietary Guidelines and apply a depth of understanding of diet-related diseases in different contexts.

    This course is designed to be as flexible as possible. You'll have up to 24 months to complete the course and for the practical components of the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness and the SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness, there are 3 delivery modes to choose from:

    • Campus Club - learn in a small group environment inside one of Australia's leading gyms and be mentored by the best in the business
    • 1-To-1 Flexible Mentor - you'll be matched with one of AIPT's qualified Personal Trainers who will mentor you inside a real club
    • Mentor of Your Choice - if you already know a Personal Trainer, AIPT could approve them to be your Mentor to guide you through the practical components of the course.

    The theoretical parts of the course are available on AIPT's online learning platform, so are available anywhere, anytime.

    This Australia-wide course will also teach you how to manage and market a small business, giving you the skills you to be your own boss and choose when and where you work with your own client network.

  • What You'll Need to Get In

    First Aid:

    You must obtain a pass in the subject HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, from an external provider.

    Age

    To do start the Complete Personal Training Course, you need to be aged 17 years or older. To start the Diploma of Nutrition, you need to be 18 years or older.

    Education

    You'll need to have completed year 12 or equivalent, ie.

    • A qualification at Certificate IV level or higher OR
    • 2 years of industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication.

    You'll need a high level of language, literacy and numeracy skills.

    Residency Status

    You will need to be a permanent Australian resident or equivalent.

    Computer Requirements

    As the theoretical course component is conducted online, you will need a reliable computer/laptop and an internet connection.

    Working with Children Check

    For the practical component of this course, you may need a current 'Working with Children Check Clearance' issued by the relevant authority in your state/territory.

    * This course contains the unit HLTAID011 Provide First Aid which must be completed through an external RTO. AIPT has an agreement in place with Red Cross Australia (RTOID 3605) which allows students to receive training for this unit at a reduced price or you may source your own training provider. Please note that the cost of this external training is not included in your course fee. Upon completion, you will need to submit a copy of your First Aid certificate for AIPT to process a Credit Transfer against this unit of competency on your student record.
