In a Nutshell
The Bachelor of Nutrition, offered by Endeavour College of Natural Health, is a three-year undergraduate qualification delivered entirely online. Aligned with Australia’s public health priorities, the course prepares students to work in community and population-level nutrition roles, with a focus on health equity, chronic disease prevention, early childhood development, mental health, and sustainable food systems. It is an accredited Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 Higher Education qualification, and part-time study is available for those who need a more flexible pace, with contact hours starting from six hours per week.
The curriculum draws on the social determinants of health and covers a broad range of learning areas, including nutrition science, nutritional biochemistry, dietary planning across the lifespan, maternal and child nutrition, metabolic regulation, and pathophysiology. Students also develop practical skills in health communication, cultural safety, and behaviour change, alongside an understanding of food policy, advocacy, and ethics. Dedicated study of First Nations peoples’ health and wellbeing is integrated throughout the course, supporting graduates to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse communities. Advanced topics such as equity in global food systems, planetary health, and contemporary issues in nutrition round out the degree.
It is important to note that the Bachelor of Nutrition does not meet the professional accreditation requirements to practise as a clinical nutritionist or dietitian in Australia. Rather, it is designed for those drawn to public health, community nutrition, health promotion, food policy, and corporate wellness. The course is well suited to individuals looking to make a meaningful contribution to population health outcomes through advocacy, education, and evidence-based practice. Enquire to learn more.
