In a Nutshell
The Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, delivered by Hader Institute of Education (RTO 45162), is a nationally recognised qualification designed for people working in, or moving into, human resources roles. Whether someone is stepping into HR responsibilities for the first time, supporting a team in an administrative or business support capacity, or looking to formalise existing skills, this qualification provides a structured and practical pathway into the HR profession. It is delivered entirely online through a blended learning model that combines live weekly Zoom sessions with flexible self-paced study, making it well suited to those balancing work, study, and personal commitments.
The course spans 12 months, comprising 48 weeks of scheduled study and a four-week study break, with learners expected to dedicate around 26 hours per week across trainer-led classes, self-paced learning, and assessment work. Learning takes place through Hader’s virtual environment using Zoom and the aXcelerate learning management system. Practical skills are developed through realistic workplace simulations and role plays conducted in the virtual classroom, and no physical work placement is required. Learners also have access to monthly one-on-one mentoring, regular outreach from a dedicated learner support team, and trainer responses within 72 business hours. All assessment decisions are made by qualified trainers and assessors, with technology used to support — not replace — the human elements of the learning experience.
Across 12 units of competency, the course covers broad areas including recruitment and onboarding, performance development, employee and industrial relations, learning and development, work health and safety, and workplace communication. Learners develop the confidence to apply HR policies and legislation, support fair and inclusive workplace practices, and coordinate a range of people-focused processes across diverse industries. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a nationally recognised certificate and academic transcript issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework, which are recognised across Australia. The qualification may also provide a pathway into further study, such as the Diploma of Human Resource Management. Enquire to learn more.
Please note: This course is fee-for-service, it is not government funded.
