Students must be available to attend full-time daytime classes Tuesday to Friday, 8:45am to 4:15pm. The program runs for approximately 24 weeks, including 19 weeks of classroom training and 160 hours of work placement.

What You'll Need to Get In

While there are no formal educational requirements for this course, it is preferred that students:

  • Be at least 16 years of age (students under 18 years of age will need a parent or guardian to approve their enrolment);
  • Have completed year 10 or equivalent;
  • Have completed a police background check.

Please note that this course is only available to students in Western Australia, and is NOT available to people on 500 or 600 visas.
