What is a Marketing Assistant?
A Marketing Assistant helps a marketing team plan campaigns, make content, and track results. The role is one of the most common ways to enter marketing in Australia.
Day-to-day work includes running social media, writing copy, doing market research, and helping at events. Marketing Assistants also do admin work such as updating databases and writing reports.
The role is team-based. Marketing Assistants work with designers, sales staff, and managers to keep projects on track and on budget.
With skills in digital tools, content creation, and data review, Marketing Assistants build a strong base. Many move to Coordinator or Specialist roles within two to three years.
