The Diploma of Health Science (Chinese Remedial Massage), offered by Endeavour College of Natural Health, is an accredited Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 higher education qualification that blends the philosophy and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a grounding in Western health science. Designed to be completed in 1.5 years full-time, with part-time options available, the course is delivered across six campuses in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Gold Coast, and Perth. Delivery is mixed mode, combining online, on-campus, livestream, and blended learning to suit a range of study preferences and schedules.
Students develop a thorough understanding of Chinese medicine theory, including its history, foundational principles, and diagnostic frameworks, alongside practical training in a range of hands-on techniques. These include Tui Na, acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, topical herbal applications, and medical Qi Gong. Complementing this, the curriculum covers human biology, systems physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology, giving graduates a solid biomedical foundation to support their clinical practice. Consultation and diagnostic skills are woven throughout the course, and students gain supervised clinical experience at Endeavour Wellness Clinics from early in their studies, progressively building confidence and competence in a real-world setting.
The course is well suited to those who want to enter practice relatively quickly while keeping pathways to further study open. Graduates may apply for membership with relevant professional associations and are eligible to pathway directly into the second year of a Bachelor of Health Science degree in either Acupuncture Therapies or Chinese Medicine. Practitioners commonly work independently or within multidisciplinary health settings, with scope to specialise in areas such as musculoskeletal health or sports medicine. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Diploma of Health Science (Chinese Remedial Massage) from Endeavour College of Natural Health.
Graduates of the Diploma of Health Science (Chinese Remedial Massage) are equipped to practise as Chinese remedial massage practitioners in a range of settings. Practitioners may work independently as a sole trader or within a multidisciplinary clinic alongside other allied health professionals such as acupuncturists, Chinese herbalists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and naturopaths. The course prepares graduates to work across areas including sports medicine, musculoskeletal health, and general health maintenance. Within a Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic framework, they apply techniques such as Tui Na, acupressure, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, topical herbal applications, and medical Qi Gong.
Graduates may apply for membership with relevant professional associations, including the Australian Traditional Medicine Society, the Australian Natural Therapists Association, and the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Society of Australia. For those wishing to continue their studies, this diploma provides a direct pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture Therapies) or the Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) at Endeavour College of Natural Health, allowing graduates to build on their existing knowledge rather than commencing from year one.
