Throughout the program, participants develop hands-on competencies across a range of key areas, including the safe operation of commercial vehicles, vehicle inspection procedures, load handling, fatigue management, and workplace documentation. Instruction is led by experienced industry professionals, ensuring the training reflects real-world expectations. In addition to the Certificate III, participants complete eight employability units drawn from the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways framework, though the program does not award the full Certificate II qualification. Participants also work towards obtaining a Heavy Rigid (HR) driving licence, providing a well-rounded foundation for entering the workforce.

What You'll Need to Get In

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Be a resident of Queensland
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with appropriate visas and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
  • Must have held a C Class provisional or open licence for at least two years, with no disqualifications or suspensions in the past 12 months.

Where will this course take you?

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a TLI31222 Certificate III in Driving Operations from Strategix Training in partnership with Five Bridges and Look Now Training.

This course prepares students for entry-level roles in the transport and logistics industry, including positions such as tip truck driver, bus driver, delivery driver, long or short haul driver, and logistics support. Graduates also receive a Heavy Rigid (HR) Driving Licence and a certificate of attainment in eight key units aligned with the FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways framework. Please note that this program does not award the full Certificate II qualification. These credentials support students in entering the workforce with practical, industry-relevant skills.
