Career Outcomes
Acupuncturist | Clinical Practitioner | Chinese Medical Practitioner
Acupuncture is a branch of Chinese Medicine that stimulates specific points on the body to regulate the flow of Qi (vital energy) to restore health and balance the functions of the body, mind, and spirit.
Acupuncture therapies combine Chinese medicine theory (philosophy and principles) with Chinese manual therapy practices including acupuncture, moxibustion, medical Qi Gong, and Chinese remedial massage (Tui Na), supported by Chinese dietary therapy and prepared Chinese herbs.
The Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture Therapies) from Endeavour College of Natural Health is a 3-year degree qualification that specifically focuses on the practice of acupuncture and will supersede Endeavour's existing Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) qualification. As this is an entirely new degree qualification, the College will go through the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia's two-year registration process to obtain accreditation. This process is a CMBA requirement for all new Higher Education courses.
This course is delivered on campus (with selected subjects online) to provide you with practical training in a face-to-face learning and clinic environment.
Professional Registration:
Graduates must apply for registration with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (MCBA) if they wish to use professional titles as a Chinese medicine practitioner in Australia. This course is an accredited program meeting the professional standards and as such, graduates are eligible to apply for registration. Please enquire for more information.
