In a Nutshell

The ACA-recognised CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling (Clinical Hypnosis specialisation) offered by The Institute of Applied Psychology provides a comprehensive foundation for individuals aspiring to build a career in the counselling field. This course covers essential areas such as communication skills, ethical practice, and the application of counselling techniques. Participants will engage in practical learning experiences that enhance their ability to support clients through various challenges, equipping them with the skills necessary to foster positive change in individuals and communities.

The Clinical Hypnosis specialisation builds on this foundation with a modern, evidence-supported approach to hypnosis, helping clients shift long-held patterns through hypnotic language, strategic therapeutic techniques, and ethical practice frameworks. Unlike the course’s other specialisations, this stream includes a 4-day in-person intensive alongside the online learning, giving students hands-on practical mastery, and is available at an additional cost on top of the standard course fee.

This diploma not only emphasises theoretical understanding but also prioritises hands-on experience, ensuring that students are ready to make a meaningful impact in their future roles. Graduates of this specialisation may pursue work in private practice, online therapy, or performance coaching.
