The CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services (QLD Only), delivered by Five Bridges in partnership with PeakCare Queensland and Look Now Training (RTO 31827), is a 14-week qualification designed for people looking to start a career in community services. Available across the North Coast and Brisbane regions, the program is funded through the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative and provides practical training for those wanting to support individuals, families, and communities.
Throughout the course, students develop skills in case management, individual needs planning, health and wellbeing support, and working with people with disability. Training also covers cultural diversity, supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, responding to crisis situations, identifying children and young people at risk, and making referrals to specialist services. Delivered by experienced industry professionals, the program focuses on building practical, job-ready skills that can be applied in a range of community and residential settings.
Upon successful completion, students receive the CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services, as well as a Certificate of Attainment in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways. The program also includes a Police Check and Blue Card at no additional cost. Graduates may pursue roles such as Community Care Worker, Youth Worker, Welfare Support Worker, Aboriginal Community Development Worker, or Neighbourhood Centre Worker, and may also use the qualification as a pathway into further study, including the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention. This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to pursue a range of opportunities within the community services sector. Graduates may seek employment as Community Care Workers, Youth Workers, Neighbourhood Centre Workers, Welfare Support Workers, or Aboriginal Community Development Workers, supporting individuals, families, and communities across a variety of settings.
The course also provides a pathway into further study, including the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention. In addition to the qualification, students receive a Certificate of Attainment in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways, as well as a Police Check and Blue Card to support their transition into the workforce.
