Throughout the course, students develop skills in case management, individual needs planning, health and wellbeing support, and working with people with disability. Training also covers cultural diversity, supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, responding to crisis situations, identifying children and young people at risk, and making referrals to specialist services. Delivered by experienced industry professionals, the program focuses on building practical, job-ready skills that can be applied in a range of community and residential settings.

Upon successful completion, students receive the CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services, as well as a Certificate of Attainment in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways. The program also includes a Police Check and Blue Card at no additional cost. Graduates may pursue roles such as Community Care Worker, Youth Worker, Welfare Support Worker, Aboriginal Community Development Worker, or Neighbourhood Centre Worker, and may also use the qualification as a pathway into further study, including the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention. What You'll Need to Get In

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

Be a permanent resident of Queensland; and/or
Be at least 15 years of age; and/or
Hold one of the following citizenship or residency statuses:
- Australian citizen
- Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants)
- Temporary resident with an appropriate visa and work permit on a pathway to permanent residency
- New Zealand citizen
