An RTO Trainer delivers approved VET programs at a registered training organisation (RTO). They teach students the skills needed to enter or advance in a trade or profession. RTO Trainers work in health, construction, business, hospitality, and community services.
Each day, an RTO Trainer plans lessons, runs classes, and checks student skills against national standards. They give feedback on tasks and written work. They keep records of student progress. All training must meet the rules set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
RTO Trainers work closely with industry partners to keep their programs current. They update course content when training packages change. Many trainers split their time between face-to-face and online delivery, especially in apprenticeship programs.
