Virtual class times are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4pm, and require full-time attendance.

Spanning 16 weeks, the course combines 12 weeks of Virtual Online Classroom Access with 4 weeks of supervised work placement, ensuring students gain practical experience in an approved care organisation. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including personal care, communication skills, and the ethical considerations of working in the aged and disability sectors, preparing students for various roles such as Care Assistant, Residential Support Worker, and Home Care Assistant.

Please note: This course is only available to students in Queensland, and is NOT available to people on 500 or 600 visas.

What You'll Need to Get In

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. It is preferred that the students have obtained a minimum of a school certificate or equivalent.
Students should also have the physical ability to stand, lift and bend to allow them to complete their required tasks.
Students must pass the Police check in the state or territory you are planning to work in, prior to work placement.
Students must have vaccinations against infectious disease prior to work placement.
