    Study 100 per cent online and build important foundations in systems thinking, epidemiology, policy and research methods. During your course, you'll learn how to gather, interpret and leverage health data to create a healthier society, as well as understand the fundamental principles of promotion, protection and prevention. Plus develop your research skills and learn how to influence our health systems.

    With La Trobe's Master of Public Health, you'll graduate with the practical skills, relevant experience and personal insights required to lead real change at a local, national or even international level.

  • What You'll Need to Get In

    To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

    • 240 credit point pathway (2 years): Successful completion of a 3 year Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent);
    • 180 credit point pathway – COGNATE ENTRY (18 months): Successful completion of a 3 year Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent) in a health related field;
    • 120 credit point pathway – COGNATE ENTRY (12 months): Successful completion of a 3 year Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent) plus honours in a health related field;
    • All applicants must complete and submit a Personal Statement;
    • The University will access your official transcript upon application;
    • 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

    The full fee for this course is AU $27,600 – AU $55,200 depending on previous educational background.

    Eligible students can apply for the Australian government's FEE-HELP loan to assist with your fees.

    You may be eligible to receive FEE-HELP for this course!

    This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

    Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $48,361 (2022-23 income year).
