This well-rounded and comprehensive course is designed to prepare graduates for a fulfilling career as a remedial massage therapist, and it will teach you essential skills such as how to provide remedial massage treatments, how to apply principles of pain neuroscience, how to apply remedial massage practice for athletes and how to analyse and respond to client health information. The course also includes extra skills training in pregnancy, reflexology, myofascial cupping, and dry needling.
The course has been developed in consultation with employers, industry experts and massage associations to ensure that graduates are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the industry. This qualification is fully recognised by Australia's leading Massage Associations, giving graduates access to membership and ability to offer health rebates to their clients with private health cover
Students will complete a theory component online & practical components through a mix of face-to-face on-campus delivery and work placement sourced by the student.
The course takes 52 weeks of full time study to complete (4 x 10 week terms), with campus attendance required two day per week.
The student must be 15 years and over and display the required level of competence Demi International reasonably believes is required for the level of study.
VSL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Year 12 Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or provide successful completion of an AQF Certificate IV or higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English) or both: The student is to be assessed as competent at or above Exit Level 3 in an Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Literacy and Numeracy Exam.

On completion of this course, you will receive a HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage qualification from Demi International, recognised nationally by all the leading massage associations. You will have all the knowledge and practical experience to confidently start working as a remedial masseur at a range of physiotherapy, chiropractic and medical clinics, as well as health and beauty spas. You will also be qualified to start working as a remedial massage therapist for sports teams.
