    • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (mathematics, statistics, physics, IT, computer science, engineering); or a Graduate Certificate of Data Science.

    Applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements. James Cook University offers mathematics subjects available online prior to applications for students who do not currently meet the mathematical entry requirement level.

    This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

    Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $48,361 (2022-23 income year).
