Additionally, the Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining the community networks that are integral to the success of the lifestyle program. Activities and Lifestyle staff have a significant role in community and residential services and are an integral part of the overall health care team.

    You can join this course at any time with facilitator-led online classes combined with work-based learning. Phillips Institute can assist you to locate a Melbourne-based work placement of 240 hours which is required to complete for this qualification. If you're already in a relevant role, you may provide evidence of your experience of 240 hours in a lifestyle or activities role.

    While there are no formal requirements for this course, the following is recommended:

    • Be a confident communicator with strong spoken and written English language skills.
    • Applicants must undergo a Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment before beginning the course.
    • Recommended to have completed CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent.
