Allied Health refers to the multitude of health professionals who are not doctors, nurses or dentists. Allied health professionals work to diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses and assist in the management of various health conditions. Specialties within the Allied Health spectrum include things like occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, speech pathology, psychology, medical imaging, audiology, podiatry and social work. In line with the multidisciplinary nature of Allied Health, there are a wide range of courses to choose from, all of which prepare students to work in a range of healthcare contexts.
