The Bachelor of Business (Sport Management), offered by Deakin University, is a specialised business course for those wishing to pursue management careers in sporting organisations.
Throughout this undergraduate course, you'll develop a comprehensive knowledge and skill base relating to the business side of sport. You'll learn about everything from sport systems and organisations to finance, promotion, management and law. By the time you graduate, you'll have the skills necessary to manage organisations that hold sporting competitions and major events, work in community programs that encourage participation in sport, and more.
This course offers a choice between two study modes: online learning and on-campus study in Melbourne. You'll complete 8 sport management units, 8 business units and 8 elective units of your choice.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) from Deakin University.
Graduates are prepared to pursue management-level positions in a range of sports-related contexts, including Australian Rules football, basketball, cricket, tennis and golf; national and state sporting organisations; and facilities catering for sport at local, national and international levels.

Eligible students can apply for the Australian government's HECS-HELP loan to cover the upfront costs of all or part of your fees.
Deakin University also offers scholarships to successful applicants.
Students can also pay fees upfront.
This course can be paid for through the HECS-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $55,874 (2017-18 income year).
