Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Sydney University.

This course enables you to seek work as a social worker after course completion. It's accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), and graduates are also eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).

With this qualification, you'll be prepared to enter the workforce in a range of sectors, including working in research, social policy, advocacy or human services. If you are an Australian citizen, you may be eligible to receive a government HECS-HELP loan, meaning you can defer payment of your fees. Alternatively, you can pay your degree fees upfront.


You may be eligible to receive HECS-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the HECS-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $45,881 (2019-20 income year).
