    • A bachelor's degree in a related field at a recognised Australian institution.

     An alternative entry pathway also exists through Foundation Units. Monash Online offers three Foundation Units, in programming, databases and mathematics. You can take a maximum of two Foundation Units prior to commencing your studies if you possess:

    • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science with a mathematics major plus two Foundation Units; OR
    • A non-cognate graduate diploma or master's degree in any field at a recognised Australian institution and two years of relevant professional experience in programming or databases, plus up to two Foundation Units in an area not related to your work experience.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $55,874 (2017-18 income year).
