Designed for students seeking an introduction to natural health and alternative medicine, this entry-level course provides a broad-based introduction to the fundamental concepts of holistic medicine, and offers full-time and part-time study options to help you qualify within one year.
In this course, you'll study key concepts of anatomy and physiology, bioscience and social sciences, and have the opportunity to study specialised units in naturopathy, nutritional medicine or western herbal medicine. You'll have the opportunity to expose yourself to a range of different types and theories of natural medicine, and build relevant skills and knowledge to work in the exciting and rewarding field of natural health promotion after completing this course.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Diploma of Health Science from Southern School of Natural Therapies.
After completing this course, you may choose to pursue employment in a range of roles in the health, wellness and alternative medicine sectors. This qualification will equip you with the skills and experience required to seek employment working in retail, manufacturing, health coaching and health administration roles.
This course also offers a pathway to the undergraduate Bachelor of Health Science from Southern School of Natural Therapies, which offers opportunities for further academic study and practical work experience in a chosen specialised stream.
