The aim of the course is to ensure that on completion, students can confidently take on training and assessment design processes as well as being able to manage and mentor other team members.

  • What You'll Need to Get In

    Following entry requirements apply to this course:

    • You must be able to demonstrate current VET skills and knowledge relevant to the specialisations chosen in this qualification
    • You should hold the TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
    • It is strongly recommended that you are currently working in an RTO
    • You must be able to provide evidence of having:
      • Recently facilitated at least 100 hours of vocational training with two or more groups of learners based on nationally recognised products
      • Collected feedback from at least four peers and 10 learners
      • Access to at least four VET teachers and trainers
      • Developed your own assessment practice in VET
      • Supported the development of at least three VET assessors and obtained their feedback
      • Led team-based assessment of at least three other assessors
      • Conducted at least 30 competency-based assessments of at least one entire unit of competency from a nationally recognised training package or accredited course for at least 10 different candidates.

    You will also need to have:

    • An appropriate level of English language skill
    • Access to a computer and ability to perform functions such as producing documents, searching for information on the internet and similar
    • Access to the internet
    • Access to a video and audio recording device such as a smart phone or web cam
    • An understanding of how to use Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader, be able to download, scan and upload documents, and know how to access online materials
