This course meets the Nationally Recognised Training standards. It is listed on the Australian government's National Register for Vocational Education and Training (VET). Studying this course leads to a qualification that's recognised throughout Australia, and lets employers know that you have the right skills for the job.
Get the qualification you need to work in child care, with the nationally recognised CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care from Foundation Education. This course equips you with the knowledge and skills you need to implement learning frameworks, and support children's development and wellbeing.
You'll also learn how to use an approved learning framework to guide practice, and how to work across a range of age groups by providing nurturing care for babies, toddlers and children under direct supervision.
Work Placement
This course requires a minimum of 160 hours of work placement in a registered childcare facility, supervised by a qualified staff member able to sign off on practical demonstration elements.
Education
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, students' skills and capabilities to undertake this training will be assessed and suitability will be provided during the pre-enrolment process.
Work Placement Requirements
Students must apply for their Working with Children check at the start of the course.
For mandatory work placement (160 hours), students must have access to a regulated education and care service provider AND access to a qualified supervisor (a person who has a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent).
If needed, Foundation Education will assist you to organise a work placement location of your choice.

You will need to be a permanent Australian resident or equivalent.
