Delivery
This course is delivered over 35 Sessions, average duration is 12 months. There are:
– 30 x 5-hour theory sessions
– 4 x 5-hour classroom-based practical skills sessions
– 1 x 8-hour First aid class
– 2 x 2-hour Assessor workplace visits and 160 hours of work placement in a childcare facility
– Recommended 15 hours of self-paced learning per week
Assessments include written and oral questions, projects, and observations of skills.

On completion of this course, you will gain a nationally recognised CHC30121 Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care qualification from MCFE.
You will have all the skills and confidence you need to start performing successfully in one of a wide range of early childhood care roles available in various childcare services.
This course is covered by the Victorian Government’s Skills First Funding Program and eligible students will be able to study this course with low fees. Please enquire to see if you qualify for government funding.
For students not eligible for government funding, full course fees will apply.

Payment Plans and Discounts
For full fee-paying students, MCFE offers an easy payment plan that allows you to pay your fees in instalments over the duration of the course. If you pay a portion up front, you can receive a discount up to 30%.
Skills First Funding
You may be eligible for a government-subsidised place through the Skills First Funding Program. If you are eligible, the government will contribute to the cost of your training. Enquire to check your individual eligibility. There are limitations to using Victorian government funding, you need to make sure you are using your funding for the right course, as it may affect your access to future government funding.
General Eligibility Criteria
1. Evidence of citizenship/residency, you must be either:
a. an Australian citizen;
b. a holder of a permanent visa; or
c. a New Zealand citizen
2. You can enrol in a maximum of 2 funded qualifications and 2 funded skills sets in one year
3. You can undertake up to 2 funded programs at one time
4. At MCFE we require you to be 17 and over and not enrolled in high school to access funding
