To excel in the applied nature of our cyber security postgraduate programs, all our students require some experience with a programming language. If you don't have this experience, we offer the course Foundations of Computer Science – Python A in place of Political Institutions and Policy-Making. This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $47,014 (2021-22 income year).
