About this course

With the introduction of floating LNG facilities offshore in Western Australia, there's huge potential for future deep water exploration and remote oil and gas production. In order to bring these reserves to shore, though, new deep water technologies need to be developed.

With the Master of Subsea Engineering from Curtin University, you'll build a strong theoretical knowledge base in advanced subsea engineering, studying offshore processing, geomechanics and hydronamics. Curtin University removes the barriers to postgraduate study

  • Prerequisites


    To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

    • Have an engineering degree with honours or a high course-weighted average; OR
    • Have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in Subsea Engineering with a course-weighted average of 65% or more.

    Regardless of your chosen area of study, Curtin University also requires that you demonstrate sufficient competency in English.

Eligible students can apply for a FEE-HELP loan to cover the upfront costs of all or part of your fees.

You may be eligible to receive FEE-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
